The Lower East Side is filled with so much inspiration that we chose it as the namesake of our Taiwanese inspired, Red-braised pork belly taco. The L.E.S. is an homage to all the great chefs and restaurants in that neighborhood.

You can spend every Saturday for the next 20 years exploring Queens, but you still can’t possibly experience everything. Queens is filled with immigrant families, both new and old making so much good food, that we discover new spots every time we visit.

While no one knows exactly what will happen, we have decided to be conservative and wait it out indoors, while this COVID thing plays out.

Its streets are overflowing with high concept restaurants, speakeasy rooftop bars and art spaces. But can Poblacion survive COVID-19 and live on?

Back here in the Philippines… the palengke is open. The stall owners set up their tables, but people aren’t coming out. We spoke to one of our suppliers and she said, “Sobrang higpit na talaga ngayon. Sana nga ma lift na itong pandemic na to. Hirap ng buhay talaga”

Back in July 2019, my wife Arra and I decided that we were going to start a new taco business. At the time, we didn’t even have a planned menu yet. No ideas, no nothing. All we knew for sure is that we wanted to serve tacos and that we needed a solid name… priorities, right?! Lol
